Northampton LAMs support 'Teddies for Loving Care'

At our Wednesday Coffee Morning we were delighted to welcome Assistant Provincial Grand Master, W Bro Jim Boughton, who attended to tell us about this marvellous initiative.

Teddies for Loving Care is a Registered Charity, organised by each individual Province and funded locally by Freemasons.  The charity's sole objective is to supply Teddies to Children who are admitted to local Hospitals A & E Units, to help alleviate often severe distress.  Medical Staff know that a cuddle with a new 'friend', a special Teddy, helps enormously and often assists them to treat a Child who may well be suffering from a life threatening condition.

We raised £250 for this worthy cause, by donating the proceeds of our Raffle and collecting individual Donations from our Membership.  Our Chairman, Anne Stevens, presented the cheque to W Bro Jim Boughton.  Anne and Jim are pictured below.
